COACHES’ CHOICE YOUTH CAMP & CLINIC (SPORTS)
When should I make my coverage effective?
The effective date is the date you need your insurance coverage to start. For many, this is the first day of the camp/clinic or the day you begin setting up. If you are renewing coverage with us, use the expiration date of your current or former policy.
How do I calculate my premium? What is a minimum premium?
You can calculate your premium by multiplying your rate by total campers (actual or expected). If your calculated premium is less than the designated “minimum premium” for a particular plan, you are still required to pay the minimum premium. For example, if your calculated premium is $50, but your policy indicated a minimum premium of $100, you will still be required to pay the $100 minimum premium.
What if I have multiple camps/clinics scheduled and I'm not sure how many participants will attend? What do I report?
At the time of enrollment, please provide us a list of all of your known camps or clinics. Use the maximum amount of campers that your camp/clinic can accommodate to calculate the premium due. TBD/TBA numbers will not be accepted.
What if I add a camp/clinic after I've submitted my enrollment form?
To provide coverage for a new camp/clinic not previously reported, you must inform us in writing of the new dates by completing a Youth Camp and Clinic Supplemental Request Form prior to the start date of the camp/clinic, along with any additional premium due. Camps or clinics not reported to us prior to occurring will not be covered.
What if I must cancel or change the date of a reported camp/clinic?
Cancellations/changes in date must be reported prior to the scheduled start date or the first day of the camp/clinic session, and confirmed in writing for a refund or credit to be considered. Refunds may be subject to a cancellation penalty.
Will I receive a policy after I submit the enrollment form?
You will receive a certificate of insurance as proof of coverage. Coverage is offered exclusively through Sports, Leisure and Entertainment Risk Purchasing Group (RPG). The RPG receives a master policy from the insurance company. Submissions of this enrollment form confirms you desire to receive coverage through the RPG. Each member receives his/her own certificate of insurance as his/her evidence of coverage. The limits of insurance apply individually to each certificate of insurance—there are no shared limits of liability with other members. A copy of the RPG master policy can be requested in writing by email to programs@relationinsurance.com or mail to Relation Insurance Services, P.O. Box 25936, Overland Park, KS.
COACHES’ CHOICE AMATEUR SPORTS TEAMS, LEAGUES AND ASSOCIATIONS
How soon does coverage start after enrollment? When will I receive proof of coverage?
Coverage can be bound the same day we receive your completed enrollment form and the appropriate premium. Please allow adequate time for us to process your enrollment form and issue certificates.
When should I make our coverage effective?
The effective date is the date you need your insurance coverage to start. For many, this is the first day of tryouts or practice. If you are renewing coverage with us, use the expiration date of your current or former policy. Coverage will be in effective for one year.
Our organization hasn't yet had tryouts, and we're not sure how many participants we'll have for each sport and age group. How should I report our number of participants?
You will need to report the maximum number of participants for each age group and sport according to your projected rosters. You may add additional participants at any time by using the Amateur Sports Tournaments & Events Supplemental Request Form.
If a participant plays more than one sport in the organization, are we charged for each sport?
Yes, the rate is based on a per participant for each sport and age group.
Does this coverage follow the participant wherever he/she goes to practice/play?
Coverage will follow the reported participants wherever they practice/play, as long as they’re participating in covered, sponsored, and/or supervised activities of the insured, including tournaments hosted by the organization. Coverage does not extend to the transportation of participants to/from these events.
